UK CREATIVE TEAM

 

The UK Creative Sales team deal with design led and / or complex and large-scale UK drapery projects, working heavily in the West End and touring theatre, concert touring together with a variety of exciting and fast-moving sectors.

The team was formed out of an understanding that these projects need a specific focus and skillset to find solutions for challenging designs and ideas. Often, they also require the team to move quickly in order to meet tight deadlines. The team prides itself on being an invaluable resource for designers, specifiers, and clients from concept through to installation.

In the last 12 months alone, the team has worked on high profile show such as Stranger Things – The First Shadow, Free Your Mind, 42nd Street, and Crazy for You as well as numerous Operas at the Royal Opera House and ENO, together with several concert tours such as Arcade Fire, Lorde, Metallica, and Beyonce. In addition, the team has been responsible for the transformation of several theatre auditoria including the London Palladium and the Swansea Grand.

 

OVERALL PURPOSE

 

This successful candidate will take the lead on such projects, liaising with clients, breaking down enquiries (often bringing in colleagues from our design and manufacturing departments), quoting and, if the project proceeds, ensuring all information is communicated to the relevant teams internally, including our Delivery team if we are offering installation services.

The role also involves proactively contacting new and existing customers to establish and develop relationships.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • To deal with incoming enquiries, ensuring all relevant information is obtained from the customer.
  • To break down enquiries in order to fully understand what is involved in successfully delivering the brief.
  • To liaise with your colleagues across the business to ensure a project can be delivered within the customer’s desired timescale.
  • To cost enquiries in accordance with company and departmental processes and send quotations to customers.
  • To communicate with customers to convert quotations into orders.
  • To process orders in an accurate and timely manner.
  • To liaise with colleagues to ensure all elements of the project are on track.
  • To maintain and progress existing customer relationships, including external visits to customer premises.
  • To carry out site visits and measure ups within the scope of your training and ability.
  • To seek out and nurture new customers and revenue streams.
  • To promote the cross selling of products and services across the business.
  • To use the CRM system fully and in accordance with internal procedures.
  • To pass on important customer feedback to your Manager and team.
  • To monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information as and when requested.
  • To represent J&C Joel at trade shows.
  • To keep up to date with new products and services.
  • To develop and maintain industry knowledge and awareness through the regular reading of trade publications, webinars, training courses.
  • To identify and resolve client concerns in conjunction with the Quality department.
  • To carry out any other ad-hoc duties as requested by your Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Full UK Drivers Licence.
